Amanda & Scot at Memorial House {Utah Wedding Florsit}

Amanda was a bride after my own heart. Not only did we share the same name, we also share the taste for great design. Amanda hired me for day-of design along with florals for her wine themed nuptuals.
Amanda came to me with her theme and I knew right away, this was going to be an outstandingly beautiful wedding. Amanda didn't want the cliche wine wedding with loads of faux grapes, bad ivy and deep tones. We collaborated on the palate of peaches, coral, ivory and golds. Not the usual by any means. Check out the beautiful photos by Randy of Dezember Photography.

Amanda was careful not to forget her groom of the grand scheme of things. Her husband was an avid collector of old VW bugs. The photo above is of the bug that he restored just for their wedding getaway! So sweet!

We chose to gold, pintuck linens, with coral accent napkins for the guest tables. Classic and beautiful.

To keep with the wine theme, Amanda put together wine bottle table numbers in coordinating colors. We flanked them with rustic wine boxes that held luscious blooms of gold leafs, antique hydrangea, cafe dahlias, garden roses, zinnas, ranunculus, spray roses, dusty miller and various ferns.

We flanked the mantle with various wine bottles that held votive candles in memory of people lost.

The bride constrcuted this piece of art by placing dyed corks in an ombre fashion. She did an outstanding job putting this all together!

How perfect is this buttercream cake by Layers-Cake?

**Featured** The Perfect Palatte- Utah Wedding Florist

O man, I am falling behind once again on my bloggin'! So many things just take priority over this poor blog. But the good news is I am back today and I'm sharing a fun shoot that I participated in with Michelle Leo Events. We put together this shoot a couple years ago and I can't believe I am just now sharing it! Many time flies.
Even better news is that it was featured the other day on The Perfect Palatte! If you haven't already heard about The Perfect Palatte, its a must see. Such amazing inspiration for weddings and decor alike.
 See the feature here!

The show stopper for this shoot was really the unique paper suite by Polka Dots & Daisies! Weathered wood invites! Doesn't get better than this folks!!

My favorite shot! Love how the curve of her hand fits perfectly in the curve of the shell.

Kathleen at the Waldorf Astoria {Utah Wedding Florist}

Kathleen was truly one of the sweetest, whole-hearted brides I have ever worked with. She is the epitome of courage and strength. Kathleen is a breast cancer survivor who's outlook on life is nothing short of amazing.
When I usually meet with brides, most of the talk is centered around how perfect they want their day to be and what the decor look like. Rarely do I hear a bride tell me that, while she wants her wedding to be beautiful, the thing she yearns for the most is just being married to her soul mate. After all, isn't this the whole purpose of the planning? The Marriage. Her words truly hit home for me.
Thanks to Jessica White Photography for the images!

Kathleen's nuptuals took place at the beautiful Waldorf Astoria Hotel in Park City, UT. A beautiful and upscale mountain retreat.

A soft feminine bouquet was constructed out of peonies, garden roses, ranunculus, scabiosa, dusty miller and maidenhair fern.

The railings of the church were adorned with salal garlands, tied up with streamers of organza ribbons.

Ok how adorable are Kathleen's flower girls!? Instead of giving them baskets of petals, we choose to give them small posey bouquets for a grown-up feel.

The cakes were probably one of my favorite aspects of the wedding. We placed large blooms of peonies, garden roses and accents ranunculus on each of the cakes.
