Autumn's Groomals

Classic beauty.

These are the two words I would use to describe Autumn. Here is a preview of her winter day groomals, shot by the great Kate Benson Photography.

Fall Favorites

Often when I tell people what I do for a living I get this question a lot...

"I bet your house is filled with flowers, huh!?"

Answer:

Its a very rare occasion when I have flowers that adorn my home. 

All of my creativity and time are exerted on my clients are their events. So its a extra special day when i can actually put together something for myself. These next few pieces were something i put together to just for me!

My version of a cascade bouquet. Callas, tulips, amaranthus, roses and trachelium. I wanted to challenge myself to try something that I wouldn't normally compose.

I've been doing my darnedest to be a better blogger. 

So far I would give myself a B+. Thoughts?

So I know i keep telling you that i am super busy and i will be posting more pics soon. Well........I've been super busy and I really do have some great things coming including a photo shoot, jades great wedding with pics from Katherine Loveless and megan super chic bridals bouquet.

 YAY!

Vintage Creations

We provided some florals this weekend for our friends at Eastwind Creations. They wanted something that tied in with their blue booth at the Provo Bridal Fair. I wanted the florals to compliment the booth rather than stick out and be the main focus.......so I went with more muted tones. One color scheme I love is apricot and blue. This was the perfect scheme for the florals. We used various shades of apricot, creams, silver and blush tones.

Juliet garden roses, silver brunia, dusty miller, blushing brides and cream spray roses. Blair wanted something a little un-traditonal so we did just that. Feathers were used as a collar for the bouquet and an unusual type ribbon tied in a bow, finished it off for an overall vintage feel.  

 Some more non traditional vases were used as well. A cream milk pitcher was used to hold the blue muscari, juliet roses and cream lisianthus.

This vases held an assortment of lush blooms that smelt like heaven! A unique collar of dusty miller added so much to this piece of garden roses, hypericum berries, blushing brides and cream lisianthus.

Rachelle

Simple yet edgy bouquet with black ans white callas, tulips, lisianthus and football mums. Added some black curly willow for interest as well as some black pearl head pins to set if off.

Sign in piece with hydrangea callas and curly willow.

Mrs. Archer

Previews of pics from the Blanke/Archer wedding. Let me start off by saying that Courtney and her mom Robin were SO wonderful to work with! It makes my job so much easier when I click with my clients. Courtney knew just what she wanted, traditional and romantic. We used pale yellows, creams, champagnes and blush accents to set the tone.

Bouquet was very traditional with various types of roses, classic mini callas and a few strands of lily grass. Wrapped in luxurious champagne satin ribbon.

Small glass cubes filled with hydrangea, lily grass and shades of pale yellow and cream roses were used placed in the chapel windows and after the ceremony doubled as the table centerpieces. Great way to save some $$$ Isle cones adorned the pews with the perfect shade of pale yellow.
Cakes was done in-house at the Salt Lake County Club. What a beautiful place! Staff was helpful and great to work with.

i only got this picture of the giant alter piece. It was used at the ceremony with its twin and then was relocated and used for the buffet decor. Casablanca Lillie's, curly willow, yellow freesia and rucus leaves.

Courtney's Bridal Bouquet

Ok..........Let me just start by saying this........I am not a big fan of silk flowers. Although they have come out with variations that look very close to and feel like fresh flowers, nothing beats the real deal. Brides may think that silks are a more cost effective option but in reality, they cost just as much if not more than fresh.

You're probably are wondering why I am rambling on about fake flowers....... Well if you couldn't tell, the pic above is made of silk flowers. Cream Callas, Cream Hydrangea, Pale Yellow Roses, yellow parrot tulips, grasses and ranucs.

Considering the circumstances, I am thrilled with the way it turned out :)
