Complimentary Colors

Last weekend was host to Erin Wilkinson's grand affair held at Sleepy Ridge Golf Course.
No expense was spared at this beautiful event and flowers were no exception. We worked closely with Michelle at Utah Event by Design to create this grand affair.

Erin chose a palate of Lime, Orange, Blue and Purple, a tricky one to pull off without looking like a birthday party or circus event. To help balance this palate out, we choose flowers that were deep in color and complimentary on the color wheel, to make the scheme feel rich and warming. Perfect for an upscale event.

A fabulous fondant cake by Cake-a-licious. The mantle behind the cake was topped with salal garlands and stuffed with various flowers. For some extra drama we added hanging pomanders is coordinating colors.

On the left is the second centerpiece design that was kept low and colorful. Three cylinders held varieties like roses, veronica, lilies, gerbs, mokara orchids, pin cushions and salal.
On the right is one of my favorite elements from the wedding. A grand piece indeed. For Erin's buffet pieces we constructed large topiarys of a variety of flowers. My pictures just don't do much justice.

Check back later for images from the pros.
