Today's images come from the super-duper uber talented Dustin Izatt with Dustin Izatt Photography!!!
His work never disappoints and to top it off he is the nicest guy as well !!!

Here are the awesome images of this past weekends bridal show at The Canterbury Place.
I was privileged enough to design all the floral pieces for their dining room area. Six unique centerpieces along with two buffet pieces. And don't forget my booth as well!

I LOVE set tables. There is nothing more classy then shining flatware and glistening glasses!

My Booth
I wanted something that was sleek and something that you didn't see everyday. Its hard to tell but we used various cylinder vases with coordinating colored water. Atop the vase was a black manzanita branches adorned with hanging crystals and red feathers!

This was my favorite piece. Pictures just don't do it justice!

Yours truly :O)

Blooming Tuesday

As a florist I struggle trying to get Brides to think outside the "gerber daisy" box. After long thought and reflection, I came to the conculsion that Brides dont have the proper knowledge of flowers to make an informed decision and gerber daisy's is one of the most common flowers they know. So I will take it upon myself to burst the "gerber daisy" bubble and inform my brides of just how many better options there are out there.
In order to help brides better recognize the vastly large amount of blooms that are available to them...we have come up with an informative weekly segment called
Blooming Tuesdays

Each Tuesday we will compose a new post on a unique bloom. These posts will include which season the bud will be available as well as a tips on flower care. This week we will focus on the:

Rose

With Valentines Day's just around the corner we thought why not give some insight into alternate varieties of roses. The rose is available all year long and one of the most traditional and classic flowers available. The rose comes in numerous colors and shades. Some varieties that our readers may not be familiar with are the garden rose and spray roses.

The spray rose. Perfect with its tiny little ruffles and delicate demeanour. The spray rose comes on a single stem with 3-5 heads per stem.

The garden rose. Most varieties are vary fragrant and  resemble a peony with their large open heads and and large petal count. Some of my favs for sure but be prepare to pay. These blooms are more expensive than the reglaur stemed rose by almost double.

Sneek A Peek

This she a beauty!!! One of my favorite bouquets to date!!!

Constructed of various types of roses including some garden roses, this bouquet is the epidomy of classic beauty. O but wait, there is more- the feather AND netting collar lend to this bouquets glamour. Add a few strands of glass beads and purple satin and you have ...

Color Incorporation

Haley was a Darling bride!
She wanted her bouquet to be constructed out of all red roses. Classic. She also wanted an element of fun and whimsy. Bring in turquoise manzanita branches and you have just that!

Buffet piece (bad lighting)

Bridesmaids bouquets of red carns.

Hopefully more photos of Haley's wedding from the professional to come.

Circus Inspiration

Andrea Martin

Andrea's wedding was on a snowy day in late December. I like that Andrea decided to stray away from winter colors and op for a brighter more cheerful palate.

Bouquet was arranged with yellow ranucs, yellow roses, two tulips varieties, football mums and hypericum berries.

Most adorable bout was a yellow ranuc and some blue wire detail.

Speaking of bouts- I thought I would give a little insight as to the arrangement of my boutonnieres. Boutonnieres are made for men- men are not head over heels in love with the idea of wearing a flower. In fact most of the grooms that i come into contact with don't even care if they have a flower. I get the o so common phrase "Nothing Big". This is reflective as to why my boutonnieres are small in size. Men don't want a large flower overtaking their left shoulder.
So now when you look at my boutonnieres in their small simplicity- you will have a inclining as to why.

Branches on UBB

Today is a beautiful snowy day! Just in time for Christmas!

As we are ending this crazy year of 2010... We would like to take time to thank everyone who's supported Branches Event Floral. There are so many people who have made this year a success and I would like to express my appreciation for all of the Utah Wedding vendors that have helped in my success.

Branches is looking forward to another successful year in 2011. You may have noticed already today, that our Country Vintage photoshoot is the top header on Utah Bride Blog. We are thrilled!

Branches is kicking off 2011 with a great advertising opportunity with the best Utah wedding network -Utah Bride Blog. I feel honored to have been one of few that were chosen to grace their advertising pages. From what i hear they were very selective in their vendor selection.

Thank you for an amazing year and we will see you in 2011!
